Tahoe San Francisco 09

Had a few vacation days, so we went to San Francisco and after a day, caught up with some friends in Lake Tahoe. Found a great deal on the internet for the room in SF, we stayed at the Fairmont SF ontop of Nob Hill, the hotel was first class and very historic, The 1st night we ate at the Tonga room in the Hotel, the girls really loved this restaurant, it had a lake inside and tables surrounding the Lake, very cool, next day we went to Fisherman's wharf and took that journey on a Trolley car. Saturday after going to Russian Area (Baylee looking for Nesting dolls) we drove to Lake Tahoe and stayed with our friends at the Marriott Timber lodge, beautifully hotel next to the Heavenly Ski Gondola, we Skied, Swam in a snowstorm, ate at the famous "Fire & Ice" restaurant. We had a great time with the Salgados and we appreciate there graciousness to let us be apart of there Vacation. Link to My Photos Tahoe09

2009 Round Mountain Ride

Each year the Kern Wheelmen club invites all to do Race to the top of Round Mountain on New Years Day, My friend Alton asked me to ride with him and his Buddy Victor. It was cold but what great group of guys that love Cycling. It was 41 miles and about 2000 ft of climb. I rode from my house to meet all at Beach Park, it seemed like 100-200 cyclist turned out.The top of the hill was in the low 40's. I was frozen by the time I rolled into my pad. Hope to do it next year.
